How long will it take?

One organizing session typically lasts four hours, but you are always welcome to work longer if you like. The number of sessions required will vary based on your needs. Moving and senior downsizing sessions will vary in length based on the size of your home and the amount of belongings you own. We offer a free consultation, in which we develop a plan based on your personal needs and budget.

How much will it cost?

How many people will be coming to my house?

For organizing jobs you will normally be matched with just one organizing consultant. In most instances, it is more efficient to work with you one-on-one. We also understand that downsizing may be an emotional process, and want to ensure you won’t feel overwhelmed or pressured to make multiple decisions at once. For moves, at team of ladies will pack and unpack to ensure that you are settled into your home quickly and do not need to live out of boxes.

Will you take everything out of my house and put it on tarps in the yard?

No, all of our work is done indoors in most cases. We understand that your things are personal, and you may feel vulnerable about asking for help with organizing and de-cluttering. That’s why we make it a priority to follow the National Association of Professional Organizer’s Code of Ethics, which stipulates client privacy. In most cases, we arrange for trash and donations to be discreetly hauled away.

Do I need a dumpster?

No, in most cases you will not need a dumpster. Again, we respect your privacy and will arrange for trash or unwanted items to be discreetly hauled away.

Do you drive vehicles with logos or information about the company on them?

No, our consultants drive their personal vehicles, which do not display any company information.

Will I need to purchase organizing products?

Not necessarily. Your consultant will first use the items you already own to organize your space. However, if you feel you’ll need additional supplies or have specific products you like to use, you may purchase more at your discretion. You may also request that we purchase them for you, in which case we will simply add the product’s cost to your final invoice.

Do I need to be there for the actual organizing or downsizing?

In most cases, you will work alongside your organizing consultant; if the job involves de-cluttering or downsizing, you will need to be available to decide what to keep and what to discard. However, once the purge is complete and the consultant is familiar with your habits and needs, they may be able to independently re-organize your belongings and implement systems to help you maintain the order.

Will my consultant make me throw everything away?

No, you are always in control of your belongings. However, your consultant will listen to your goals and help you achieve them. If those goals include downsizing, they will recommend that you let go of belongings you no longer need, and guide you in the decision-making process. When you’re ready to part with your belongings, your consultant will also help you find new homes for them. We have an extensive list of trusted companies that can sell your items, or you may donate them to your favorite charities.

I am sure my space is the worst you have ever seen; will you think I am a slob?

We can assure you that everyone thinks their house is the messiest or most unorganized we’ve ever seen. However, we are here to provide help and support, not to judge you. All of our consultants are empathetic and solution-oriented, and will work with you to solve your specific challenges and implement systems that meet your needs. We want to help you reach your organizing goals!

What do I need to do to get ready before you come over?

You don’t have to do anything! We like to see the space “as is” so we can properly assess the area and develop systems that fit your current habits.

How do we get started?

First, you contact us. We’ll talk about your organizing needs over the phone or via email. If you decide our services will help you reach your organizing goals, we’ll do an in-home consultation in which we analyze your space, assess your goals in greater detail, and develop a plan to meet those goals based on your time frame and budget. Alternatively, if you are ready to get to work after the needs analysis on the phone, we can just send an organizing consultant to your space so you can begin working immediately.
