It's been almost a year since Practical Solutions came into my unmanageable home. I never thought I would be able to get my house together with our third child on the way and I never thought we would have room for another baby in this small house. My consultant has shown me and taught me how to manage my home, not just her way, but in a way that fits my life. Amazingly I know where everything is, which I felt would never be possible.
Her energy and words of encouragement are so motivating that I am helping my neighbors and sharing my newly valued skills. I love that she is always full of ideas and thinking of us when she sees something in a store or ad that will make our lives easier and more manageable. She has even been able to get my husband to thin out his things and that's another thing I never thought I'd see happen. I now watch the TV shows "Neat", Mission Organization", "Clean House" and "How Clean is Your House" to give me ideas and keep me motivated when she is not here to kick me into gear.
It's so rewarding to have family and friends over and not have to spend days to get my house to look semi-presentable. There is less stress in the house now that we don't have to make paths to get to things. We no longer have to waste money on buying things to replace the things we cannot find either.
Nine dumpsters and at least twenty donations trips later, my house is 75% lighter and thinner. My kids finally have their own room and not a storage room. Although I am still a work in progress, I cannot seem to let her out of my life because I fear I might relapse into my old ways. I am glad to have a new friend like her in my life.
